Mechanism of Action

Propiconazole inhibits the sterol 14α - demethylase (CYP51 enzyme) dependent on fungal cytochrome P450, preventing the synthesis of ergosterol. Ergosterol is an important component of the fungal cell membrane. Its deficiency leads to a decrease in cell membrane fluidity and an increase in permeability, thereby affecting the growth, reproduction, and infectivity of fungi. In addition, propiconazole may also interfere with the energy metabolism and toxin synthesis of fungi.

1. Agricultural field

Control targets:

·Diseases caused by higher fungi: such as rust diseases (wheat rust, corn rust), powdery mildew diseases (grape powdery mildew, cucumber powdery mildew), leaf spot diseases (peanut leaf spot, banana leaf spot), anthracnose diseases (citrus anthracnose), sheath blight diseases (rice sheath blight), etc.
