1.Antibacterial spectrum

Main effects:

·Gram-positive bacteria: such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae.

·Gram-negative bacteria: It has strong activity against Pasteurella (such as Pasteurella multocida in poultry), Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis, etc.

·Mycoplasma: It has a remarkable effect on respiratory mycoplasma in livestock and poultry (such as Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae), which is the core advantage of its clinical application.

·Characteristics: It is effective against aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria, but has a relatively weak effect on most intestinal Gram-negative bacteria (such as Escherichia coli).

2.Pharmacokinetics

Absorption and Distribution:

·After oral administration, it is rapidly absorbed in the digestive tract of livestock and poultry. Intramuscular injection has a high bioavailability.

·Strong tissue penetration: Especially, the drug concentration is high in lung tissue and bronchial secretions (up to 5 - 7 times the serum concentration), which is suitable for treating respiratory tract infections.

·Metabolism and Excretion: It is mainly metabolized in the liver and excreted through bile and urine, with a relatively long half-life (about 12 - 24 hours in pigs).
