Functions and Applications

1. Metronidazole has the function of  broad spectrum of anaerobic bacteria and peptides.
2. Metronizalole is mainly used for the prevention and treatment of infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, like respiratory tract; digestive tract; the infection of enterocoelia and pelvic cavity; skin and soft tissue; bone and joint infection; endocarditis, brain abscess, blood poisoning and meningitis caused by bacteroides fragilis.
3. Metronizalole is widely used in the prevention and treatment of oral anaerobic bacteria infection.
4. Metronidazole has strong antibacterial effect to most anaerobic bacteria, used in the treatment of amebiasis, trichomoniasis and anaerobic infections.
