Product Details
1.Basic Properties
·Chemical Name: Methyl (R)-2-[4-(3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-2-yloxy)phenoxy]propionate
·CAS Number: 69806-40-8
·Molecular Formula: C₁₈H₁₆ClF₃N₂O₄
·Physical and Chemical Properties:
The pure product is a colorless to light yellow oily liquid with a slight ester fragrance.
It is sparingly soluble in water (solubility is approximately 0.7 mg/L at 20°C) and readily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone and xylene.
Stability: Stable under acidic and neutral conditions, and easily hydrolyzed in a strong alkaline environment.
2.Mechanism of Action and Characteristics
·Mechanism of Action: After being absorbed by the stems and leaves, it is transmitted to the growth points and meristems of weeds, inhibiting the activity of acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), blocking fatty acid synthesis, resulting in hindered cell division and growth stagnation of weeds, and ultimately leading to their death.
·Weed control characteristics:
High selectivity: It is only effective against grassy weeds (such as barnyard grass, foxtail grass, crabgrass, goosegrass, etc.) and is safe for broad - leaf crops (such as soybeans, cotton, rapeseed, peanuts, etc.).
Good systemic conductivity: Weeds stop growing 2 - 3 days after application, their leaves turn yellow and wither 5 - 7 days after application, and they die completely 10 - 15 days after application.
Wide applicable period: The herbicide can be applied when weeds are at the 3 - 5 leaf stage. For larger weeds, the dosage needs to be appropriately increased.
3.Common Formulations and Usage Methods
·Formulations: 12.5% Emulsifiable Concentrate (EC), 24% Emulsion in Water (EW), etc.
·Usage method:
Application method: Foliar spray. The dosage per mu is 30 - 50 ml (calculated as the active ingredient), and it should be diluted with 30 - 45 liters of water and evenly sprayed on the leaves of weeds.
Crops applicable: Broad - leaved crops such as soybeans, cotton, rapeseed, peanuts, sugar beets, and potatoes.
Weeds to be controlled: Annual and perennial gramineous weeds, such as barnyard grass, green foxtail, wild oat, and reed.
