Structural Features: Amikacin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic obtained by chemical modification based on Kanamycin A. By introducing the aminohydroxybutyryl side chain, it significantly enhances the stability against various aminoglycoside inactivating enzymes, thus being effective against drug-resistant bacteria.

It has the advantage, it can make stabilize inactivate enzyme caused by a large number of intestinal tract bacillus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. It is indicated for the infection due to bacteria no sensitive to other Aminoglycosides antibiotic.

Application of Amikacin disulfate salt

This product is a semi-synthetic aminoglycoside antibiotic. Its antibacterial spectrum is similar to that of gentamicin. It is effective against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli and Proteus. This product is also effective against other antibiotic-resistant strains of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is mainly used clinically for pyelonephritis, urinary tract infection, respiratory and lung infections, and sepsis caused by sensitive bacteria.
