Mechanism of action

·Cardiovascular Diseases: In diseases such as cardiac ischemia-reperfusion injury and heart failure, SS-31 can improve the mitochondrial function of cardiomyocytes, reduce oxidative damage, enhance   cardiac function, and decrease cardiomyocyte apoptosis.

·Neurodegenerative Diseases: For neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, SS-31 can protect neurons from oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction. It may   improve neurological function through mechanisms such as inhibiting neuronal cell death, enhancing synaptic activity, and reducing β-amyloid formation.

·Diabetes and Its Complications: It can improve the mitochondrial function of diabetic patients, reduce insulin resistance, and also has certain therapeutic potential for complications such as neuropathy   and  nephropathy caused by diabetes.

·Others: In diseases related to abnormal mitochondrial function such as muscle aging, chronic fatigue syndrome, and mitochondrial myopathy, SS-31 also shows potential therapeutic effects.
